This volunteer program aims to provide an introduction to biodiversity conservation to people interested in the protection of nature, in a practical way and with a solid backing of scientific information.
It is aimed at all those interested in having a first approach to the world of conservation and contribute with their work to protect the Patagonian biodiversity.

What does it consist of?

volunteering

From the beginning, this project was possible thanks to the work of hundreds of people who selflessly committed themselves to prevent the extinction of the Hooded Grebe. At the beginning it was volunteers who camped on the plateaus trying to understand what had happened to the grebe and why it was increasingly difficult to find, and it was also people who voluntarily helped to create the Hooded Grebe Project, obtain resources, establish an infrastructure and start working to contain its threats and with the passage of each field campaign achieving better results. For this, volunteers will accompany technicians and researchers at the Juan Mazar Barnett Biological Station and in the field at the different work sites of the Patagonia Program in the province of Santa Cruz.
